Emergency Information & Safety Procedures

1 Medical Emergency

  1. Call 112 for life-threatening emergencies
  2. Call Campus Security at +48 22 223 4575
  3. Provide your location and details of the emergency
  4. If trained, provide first aid until help arrives
  5. Do not move the injured person unless necessary for safety
  6. Meet emergency personnel and direct them to the location

2 Fire Emergency

  1. Activate the nearest fire alarm
  2. Call 112 and Campus Security
  3. Evacuate the building using the nearest exit
  4. Do not use elevators
  5. Proceed to the designated assembly point
  6. Wait for further instructions from authorities

3 Severe Weather

  1. Stay tuned to emergency alert systems
  2. Move to the lowest level of the building
  3. Stay away from windows and exterior doors
  4. Take shelter in interior rooms or corridors
  5. Remain in place until the all-clear is given
  6. Follow instructions from campus authorities

4 Security Threat

  1. If you observe suspicious activity, report it to Campus Security
  2. For active threats: Run, Hide, Fight
  3. Run: Evacuate if a safe path is available
  4. Hide: If you cannot evacuate, secure your location
  5. Fight: As a last resort, attempt to disrupt the threat
  6. When safe, call 112 and Campus Security

Emergency Notification System

Warsaw Innovation University uses a multi-channel emergency notification system to alert the campus community about emergencies and threats to safety. The system includes:

  • Text Messages: Emergency alerts sent directly to registered mobile phones
  • Email Notifications: Alerts sent to university email addresses
  • Website Alerts: Emergency information posted on the university website
  • Indoor Alert System: Emergency messages broadcast through the public address system
  • Digital Signage: Alerts displayed on electronic screens throughout campus
  • Social Media: Notifications posted on official university social media accounts

How to Register for Emergency Notifications

  1. Log in to the Student/Faculty Portal
  2. Navigate to "My Profile" section
  3. Select "Emergency Contact Information"
  4. Enter and verify your mobile phone number
  5. Choose your preferred notification methods
  6. Click "Save" to confirm your settings
