Application Process

1. Explore Programs

2. Check Requirements

Review the admission requirements for your chosen program, including academic prerequisites, language proficiency, and any program-specific requirements such as portfolios or work experience.

General Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (for undergraduate programs)
  • Bachelor's degree (for graduate programs)
  • English proficiency (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
  • Standardized test scores (varies by program)

3. Prepare Documents

Gather all required documents, including transcripts, test scores, letters of recommendation, and personal statement. Make sure all documents are in English or accompanied by certified translations.

4. Submit Application

Complete the online application form and upload all required documents before the application deadline. Early applications are encouraged and may receive priority consideration.

5. Interview

Selected candidates will be invited for an interview, which may be conducted in person or virtually. The interview is an opportunity to demonstrate your motivation, creativity, and fit with WIU's unique educational approach.

Interview Format:

  • 30-45 minute conversation with admission committee
  • Discussion of your background and interests
  • Questions about your goals and aspirations
  • Brief problem-solving exercise (program-specific)
  • Opportunity to ask your own questions

6. Decision

Admission decisions will be communicated to all applicants within the timeframe specified for your application period. If admitted, you will receive information about next steps, including enrollment confirmation and orientation details.

Scholarships & Financial Aid

We believe that financial circumstances should not be a barrier to accessing quality education. WIU offers a range of scholarships and financial aid options to support talented and motivated students.

Merit Scholarships

Outstanding applicants with exceptional academic achievements may be eligible for merit-based scholarships covering up to 100% of tuition fees. These scholarships are automatically considered as part of your application process.

Innovation Grants

Students with demonstrated innovation potential and entrepreneurial spirit may receive special grants to support their studies and projects. These are awarded based on your personal statement and interview performance.

Research Assistantships

Graduate students may apply for research assistantships that provide financial support while gaining valuable research experience. These positions are available across all of our research centers and labs.

Need-Based Aid

Frequently Asked Questions

When will classes begin for the inaugural semester?

The first semester at Warsaw Innovation University will begin on September 1, 2025. Orientation activities will take place during the last week of August to help students settle in, get familiar with campus facilities, meet faculty and fellow students, and prepare for their academic journey.

Are scholarships available for international students?

Yes, Warsaw Innovation University offers merit-based scholarships and financial aid to qualified international students. Our scholarship programs are designed to attract talented students from around the world, regardless of their country of origin. International students are automatically considered for merit scholarships as part of the application process and can also apply for need-based financial aid.

Is student housing guaranteed for first-year students?

We guarantee housing for all first-year students who apply by the priority deadline of June 1, 2025. After this date, housing is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Our modern student residences are located on campus and in nearby neighborhoods with easy access to university facilities. Housing options include single and shared rooms in student dormitories and apartments.

What language are courses taught in?

All degree programs at WIU are taught entirely in English. This ensures that our programs are accessible to international students and prepares all students for global careers. While knowledge of Polish is not required for admission or study, we offer Polish language courses for international students who wish to learn the local language during their time at WIU.

What are the English language requirements?

Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency. Accepted tests and minimum scores include:

  • TOEFL iBT: 90
  • IELTS Academic: 6.5 (no band below 6.0)
  • Cambridge English: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency
  • Duolingo English Test: 115

Applicants who have completed at least two years of full-time study at an institution where English is the language of instruction may request a waiver of this requirement.

How can I arrange a campus visit?

We offer both in-person and virtual campus tours. You can schedule a visit through our website or by contacting our admissions office at admission@wiu.edu.pl. In-person tours include guided walks through campus facilities, meetings with faculty and current students, and information sessions with admission counselors. Virtual tours provide an interactive 3D experience of our campus and the opportunity to join live Q&A sessions with the WIU community.
